Your endurance is directly related to the clarity of your vision!

Have you ever been so focused on doing something that you completely lost track of time?

Have you ever wanted something so much and could see it so clearly in your mind that you didn’t let anything distract you from getting it until you had it?

One of the traits of highly successful people–whether in business, sports, or arts–is their ability to visualize the finished product of their desire before they ever start working on it!

Most people want a better life, to be more successful than they are, but they never achieve it because they don’t have an exact picture in their minds of what that success looks like.

New Year’s resolutions rarely work. “I want to make more money,” “I want to lose weight,” etc, are nice desires that many people have. However, once they start working to achieve that desire, they easily give up when the work becomes more challenging than anticipated.

Lack of clarity is also why many business start-ups fail within the first few years. Many would-be entrepreneurs have a desire to run their own company, they have the skills to do the work, and may even have customers from the outset. Nevertheless, these companies fail because the owners do not have a crystal clear vision of what the company will look like when it reaches maturity. They just hope it will take off and become whatever it will become along the way. This is not a formula for success!

With a clear vision of what you want to achieve, when you want to achieve it, and the steps need for success, you will be more willing to do the hard work, to endure the setbacks and frustrations that are certain to come, as you work to achieve your goal. In fact, when you already see the desired outcome, you’ll be so focused on reaching it, you’ll be less aware of the effort!

When you start with the end in mind and you can clearly visualize the result, you will be amazed at how much more endurance, perseverance, you’ll have to accomplish it.

The reason is simple: Your endurance is directly related to the clarity of your vision!

Ditto Melinda, and I have to take a moment to say – Perfection Bruce! There isn’t a single unnecessary syllable in the whole article. I love simple eloquence.

I completely agree. Everyone has experienced laser focus at least once in their life where no matter what obstacle arose, they surpassed it in view of their goal. It is going back to that time and remembering the steps or the feeling or the thinking that accompanied the action.

Thank you, Bruce, for the reminder. Years ago I owned a fitness center. I had laser sharp vision & commitment & everything worked out just as planned. It was hard work getting it started, but because I was focused on the vision it was successful. I am inspired. Thanks.
